On July 15, the Chinese Mission to ASEAN hosted a Media and Think Tank Salon themed "CPC 105 and China’s Journey towards Modernization." Representatives from around 20 regional media outlets and think tanks joined the event.

Ambassador Wang Qing briefed on the important speech President Xi Jinping delivered at the gathering marking the 105th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building. Drawing on the tremendous achievements secured by the CPC in leading the Chinese people, Ambassador Wang offered an in-depth interpretation of the key to the Party’s success. He emphasized that the CPC maintains a global vision. Taking the fifth anniversary of the establishment of the China–ASEAN Comprehensive Strategic Partnership as an opportunity, China will step up exchanges with ASEAN on governance experience, deepen practical cooperation in all fields, and advance the building of an even closer China–ASEAN community with a shared future.

The guests took their active part in discussions. They highly praised the great achievements made by the Chinese people under the leadership of the CPC. They noted that ASEAN and China have enormous potential for cooperation on the path toward modernization, and expressed their  hope that the China-ASEAN Comprehensive Strategic Partnership will continuously make new progress to better benefit the peoples of both sides.
