Chinese Ambassador to ASEAN Wang Qing Briefs Regional Media and Think Tanks on China's Two Sessions

On March 26, 2026, Ambassador Wang Qing hosted China-ASEAN Media and Think Tank Salon themed “Sharing New Opportunities for High-Quality Development--China’s Two Sessions, the 15th Five-Year Plan, and Prospects for China–ASEAN cooperation”. Representatives from near 20 regional media outlets and think tanks joined the event.

Ambassador Wang shared his in-depth observations on the Government Work Report and the Outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan. He emphasized that China will stay focused on the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, adhere to high-quality development and high-standard opening up, and share development opportunities with the world. He stressed that China has always regarded ASEAN as a priority in its neighborhood diplomacy, and that China-ASEAN cooperation continues to yield fruitful results, injecting stability and certainty into a turbulent world—making its significance even more prominent. He called on both sides to stay true to the original aspirations, jointly build a peaceful, safe and secure, prosperous, beautiful and amicable home,champion the shared values of Asian countries, and work together to ensure continuous new progress of China-ASEAN Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
