On 13 February, Ambassador Wang Qing paid a courtesy call on H.E. Nararya S. Soeprapto, Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for Community and Corporate Affairs.

Ambassador Wang stated that China-ASEAN cooperation has yielded fruitful results across various fields, continuously benefiting over 2 billion people in the region. This year marks the commencement of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan, as well as the 5th anniversary of China-ASEAN Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and the 35th anniversary of China-ASEAN Dialogue Relations. China is committed to working with ASEAN to synergize development strategies, expand all-round cooperation, and promote closer partnership.

Deputy Secretary-General Nararya welcomed Ambassador Wang’s assumption of post, highly commended the achievements of ASEAN-China cooperation, and reaffirmed the ASEAN Secretariat's willingness to enhance communication and cooperation with China to play an active role in deepening the ASEAN-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
