On 8 August 2025, Ambassador Hou Yanqi attended the ASEAN Food Festival in commemoration of the 58th Anniversary of ASEAN at the ASEAN Secretariat. ASEAN Secretary-General Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, Foreign Minister Sugiono of Indonesia addressed the ceremony and visited the food booths of ASEAN members and dialogue partners. 

The Chinese Mission’s food booth attracted participants’ interests. With Ambassador Hou’s introduction, the Chinese cuisine and culture was warmly applauded by H.E. Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, H.E. Mr. Sugiono and diplomatic envoys.
