Welcome to the website of the Mission of the People's Republic of China to ASEAN.

China and Southeast Asian countries enjoy geographical proximity and close affinity. The exchanges and mutual learning between our peoples date back to ancient times. Since its inception in 1967, ASEAN, under its motto “One Vision, One Identity, One Community”, has vigorously promoted solidarity, cooperation, prosperity and development for countries in the region and played an increasingly important role in regional and international affairs.

China regards ASEAN as a priority in its neighborhood diplomacy and a pilot zone for building a community with a shared future for mankind. Since the establishment of dialogue relations in 1991, China and ASEAN have focused on development, rendered mutual support, contributed to each other’s successes and achieved leapfrog progress in cooperation. In 2021, President Xi Jinping and the state leaders of ASEAN members jointly announced the establishment of the China-ASEAN Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Over the past five years, under the strategic guidance of leaders on both sides, China and ASEAN have worked together to build a peaceful, safe and secure, prosperous, beautiful and amicable home. Political mutual trust has been deepened. Practical cooperation has yielded fruitful results. Cultural and people-to-people exchanges have gained increasing vibrancy. The China-ASEAN partnership has become a fine example of the most successful and dynamic cooperative relations in the Asia-Pacific.

As China’s permanent diplomatic mission to ASEAN, the Chinese Mission to ASEAN is committed to promoting cooperation, consolidating friendship and enhancing mutual trust with ASEAN. We stand ready to serve as a window and a bridge for you to learn about the China-ASEAN relations, by providing timely and accurate updates on the latest progress in China-ASEAN friendly exchanges and practical cooperation across the board. You are welcome to follow our website and social media accounts, and join us in a concerted effort to build an even closer China-ASEAN community with a shared future and promote peace, development and prosperity in the region.
