On June 13, Ambassador Hou Yanqi attended the 20th Meeting of the Committee of Permanent Representatives to ASEAN (CPR) Plus Three at the ASEAN Secretariat. During the meeting, all parties discussed progress in the implementation of the ASEAN Plus Three (APT) Cooperation Work Plan (2023-2027) and future direction of APT cooperation.
Ambassador Hou commended notable progress in the implementation of the APT Cooperation Work Plan, and stressed that the lately-concluded 9th China-Japan-ROK Trilateral Summit Meeting achieved fruitful results and significant consensus, injecting new impetus into APT and the East Asian cooperation in width. China is willing to work with all other parties to implement the leaders' consensus, continuously support APT as the main vehicle of the East Asian cooperation, and revitalize exchanges and cooperation in various fields.
All parties appraised the significance of the 9th China-Japan-ROK Trilateral Summit Meeting and the progress of the APT cooperation, and expressed willingness to strengthen cooperation in such areas as connectivity, finance, disaster management, supply chain stabilization, electric vehicles, culture and tourism, education and training, in an effort to enhance regional connectivity and strengthen economic resilience.
